We are excited to announce that Awair Omni, our RESET™ Certified enterprise air quality monitor, now includes Light and Noise tracking.
Thanks to this new functionality, facility owners, building managers, realtors and other professionals will be able to track light and noise levels in a way that benefits employees, tenants, customers and other occupants. This new addition makes Omni one of the few devices available that tracks tenant wellness through a variety of factors, incorporating light, noise and air quality into its monitoring to create healthier, more productive spaces.
With the new update to Omni, Awair partners and clients will have more control over the environment of their spaces, giving them the ability to optimize their indoor environments based on factors that contribute to optimal tenant wellness. Noise and light levels have been shown to have significant effects on a person’s productivity and health over time. Noise has a negative effect on tasks requiring reading comprehension and memory and can lead to increased illness and lower job satisfaction, according to a study conducted by Cornell University. The quality and temperature of workplace lighting can affect circadian rhythm for tenants, according to a study by the American Society of Interior Designers.
If you are an Awair business partner, your current Omni units already have this functionality embedded. It’s now activated and you can start seeing your live data in your Awair Dashboard at dashboard.getawair.com. Please make sure to let us know if you are interested in keeping this functionality on your account as Light and Noise features are currently in ‘Preview Mode’.
For any inquiries about this new functionality, please reach out email@example.com.
Omni features enterprise-grade sensors that track the key factors of air quality (temperature, humidity, CO2, chemicals, and fine dust), along with light and noise, and provides actionable insights that allow building managers to create healthy, productive environments for their facilities.
Omni is already used by leading organizations like WeWork, AirBnB, Harvard, Stanford University and Google to keep their facilities optimized for employee and tenant health.
Omni recently achieved RESET certification to allow builders to use the product to earn coveted green building certifications. The new air and noise tracking capabilities are key factors in achieving additional building certifications like WELL and LEED. These continuing certifications will help Awair continue to assist in better designing, building, monitoring and controlling their environments.
As the summer months roll on, some teachers and parents have back to school on their minds. Earlier this year, there were a mix of K-12 classroom dynamics as the vaccine was being distributed across states. Many schools reopened in some capacity, but others were in a completely remote or hybrid format. Now, as younger age groups are waiting for the “green light” for the vaccine, school officials are faced with classroom health and safety questions.
Investing in Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) has never been more important or more top-of-mind than than it is in 2021. Over the past year, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have recognized indoor air quality as a way to evaluate the safety of physical spaces, causing most corporations and individual homeowners to look at IAQ for maybe the first time. The EPA is now also providing guidance about the importance of indoor air quality in schools.
Awair’s dashboard subscription now integrates with Autodesk Construction Cloud™, a portfolio of software services that combines advanced technology, a builder’s network, and predictive insights to drive efficiency for construction teams across the globe.
